The Yorkshire Regiment War Graves

Hull Western Cemetery contains 395 burials from the First World War, and 100 from the Second World War.

Four soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are buried in this cemetery.
There are also four memorial headstones for members of a family whose sons were killed fighting with the Yorkshire Regiment.

		Private John Bush, 33001. Yorkshire Regiment. Son of John and Elizabeth Bush, of 61, Wincolmlee, Hull. Died at home 15 March 1921. Aged 26.

		Private Frederick Gotts, TR/5/45007. 14th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Maria Gotts, of 355, South Boulevard, Hessle Rd., Hull, and the late Frederick Gotts. Died at home 17 April 1917. Aged 30. Born Hull, Enlisted Hull. "ALSO T GOTTS BROTHER OF THE ABOVE DIED MARCH 28TH 1924 AGE 38"

16th (Cork) Coy. Royal Army Medical Corps, formerly 30300 the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. A. Steward, of 19, Francis St., East Hull. Died at home 23 June 1918.
